Eric Solgard graduated from Gulf Breeze High School in 1998, where he played four years of football. When he didn’t receive any scholarship offers, he joined the military. Turning the clock ahead a few years, after receiving a medical discharge, he decided return to the sport he loved … football.
He played semi-pro ball from 2004 to 2008.
When his playing career was shortened because of injuries he received in Iraq, he decided to try coaching. One of his first jobs was as the defensive coordinator for the Northwest Falcons for two years – one of the best defenses in the league.
