Mold shuts down Seashore administration building

Gulf Islands National Seashore (GUIS) employees were relocated to various offices throughout the GUIS Florida District after black mold was discovered at the administration building, located at the Naval Live Oaks Area on U.S. 98 in Gulf Breeze.

“We’ve temporarily moved out so we can clean the offices,” Administrative Officer Lindsay Phillips said.

GUIS Superintendent Dan Brown said movers were expected Dec. 15 to begin removing furniture and placing it into temporary metal storage units placed in front of the 10,000-square-foot administration building.
