Walker to retire from water system

Ken Walker, general manager of Holley-Navarre Water System, announced Tuesday night that he will retire at the end of March.

The announcement was made during the water board meeting.

Board members also discussed the upcoming elections. Nine candidates have signed up to run for three open positions on the non-paid volunteer board of directors for the Holley-Navarre Water System, Inc.

Candidates who signed up prior to the Dec. 15 deadline and qualified by providing signatures from 25 water system members are:

James L. Calkins

Colette Collier

James Dabney

Bryan Duncan

Gerald Gallup

J.P. Roberts

James L. White
