High water mark signs going up around county

Santa Rosa County and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) officials recently unveiled new signage aimed to increased public awareness about the need to purchase flood insurance in our area. Vince Brown, a FEMA official who works in the agency’s Washington, D.C. headquarters, traveled to Milton Oct. 2 to plan the flooding awareness campaign, which kicked off Dec. 9 Navarre Park. Brown came back for Tuesday’s unveiling.
