Republicans run away with local races

“It’s awesome,” said Santa Rosa County Supervisor of Elections Tappie Villane of voter turnout for the Nov. 4 general election primary, which was dominated by Republican voters who showed an expected outpouring of support for the Grand Old Party.

Although 14.75 percent of Santa Rosa County voters turned out for the Aug. 26 primary election, nearly 18 percent cast early ballots before general elections polls opened Nov. 4 – 10,444 voted by mail and 11,982 participated in early voting.
