Voting turnout could eclipse primary in early voting

More than 16,000 voters have cast their ballots so far in the 2014 general election throughout Santa Rosa County.

Earlier in the year 18,207 voters turned out at the Aug. 26 primary. In the last non-presidential general election more than 50,000 voters turned out in Santa Rosa County. There are currently 124,433 registered voters in Santa Rosa County.

Voters will have the opportunity to vote from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day including Saturday. Early voting will then close and voters will have to wait until election day Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Early voting and absentee voting results will be posted at 7 p.m. Nov. 4 when polls close with county-wide results coming in as processed afterward.
