Students rock against drugs

At Holley Navarre Intermediate School, students signed footballs pledging to be drug free. The exercise coincided with the school’s goal post which signifies the “No Drugs in Our Future – We have Goals!” theme the school is incorporating, guidance counselor Tammie White said.

Students around Navarre are dressed up today to signify their pledge to be drug free.

According to David Gunter, director of middle schools, the Santa Rosa County School District does not have a significant drug problem.

“When you look at the number of students we have, we have a relatively small number of drug-related incidents,” Gunter said of the district’s 26,000 students.
