Gulf Breeze woman charged with insurance fraud

The Florida Department of Financial Services arrested a 46-year-old Gulf Breeze woman Oct. 12 on charges of insurance fraud.

Jacqueline Michelle Johnson of the 3700 block of Manhattan Court is accused of receiving long-term disability and Social Security benefits while also working and collecting a salary – without reporting additional income, according to the report.

Chris Cate, communications director for the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS), said Johnson was charged with insurance fraud, scheme to defraud and grand theft, following an investigation by the department’s Division of Insurance Fraud (DIF).
