4 juvenile Texas runaways arrested after crashing stolen car in Navarre

Four juveniles from Texas were arrested by Santa Rosa County deputies Oct. 19 after crashing a stolen car on Navarre Beach Causeway. There were no injuries.  There were three females and one male, and the oldest runaway was 14 years old.

A Santa Rosa deputy was patrolling Navarre Beach around 8:05 a.m. He was stopped by a young female who said fellow runaways from San Antonio had left her. She told the deputy they had taken the car, which she said belonged to one of the girls’ parents.

The female spotted the car while speaking to the deputy. Upon noticing the officer, the runaway driver accelerated and crashed into several other cars in the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier parking lot. No pursuit took place.
