Bondi and law enforcement fight Amendment 2

A push to legalize medical marijuana use in Florida is being opposed by law enforcement officials, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Florida Sheriff’s Association.

The measure will appear as Amendment 2 on the Nov. 4 ballot. People United for Medical Marijuana gathered more than 100,000 petitions in excess of the 683,149 required to put Amendment 2 on the general election ballot. Of those United for Care campaign petitions, 517 were signed by Santa Rosa County residents.
