Tricare for young adults

When the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010, one of the hotly debated parts of the law was the ability for dependent children to remain on their parents’ policy until the age of 26.

A smaller debate was born from that issue over the number 23: the maximum age of Tricare beneficiaries. Military parents who provide health insurance coverage for their dependent children can only do so until the age of 23.
