Dog lovers raise service dogs

Friendship, companionship and dignity are given back to a disabled individual when a service dog comes into his or her life, Bailey, a volunteer dog trainer for Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), said.

“It’s those things you and I take for granted, and that can make all the difference to a disabled individual,” he said.

Bailey and his wife, Elisa Bailey, of Navarre, have been serving as volunteer “puppy raisers” for CCI for the past 25 years,
