Anglers have say in snapper management

WEB-FWC-logoThe Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) announced that they were having five public workshops to garner input from anglers about red snapper management in state and federal waters. Based on the popularity of red snapper fishing in the northern Gulf of Mexico, four of the five workshops were held in northwest Florida.

“A lot of the red snapper caught in state waters in the Gulf are in the northern Panhandle area. That’s why the majority of the public input sessions were held in the region,” said FWC spokeswoman Amanda Nally.
