Death of trapped cat may be first

trapNavarre area residents were surprised to learn that a cat had died in a trap set by a Santa Rosa County Animal Control Officer (ACO) in a Holley by the Sea neighborhood.

According to Santa Rosa County Public Information Officer Joy Tsubooka, more than 250 traps are set by Animal Control each year and this is the first death the staff can recall.
