Navarre High School NJROTC cadets and cadets-to-be met last week for orientation, drill, physical readiness training and community service.

The camp is run by senior cadets and is a requirement for any student who want to joins the program in the fall. NHS Master Chief Jimmy Ethridge said students can attend the camp without joining the program as well. Yet, most of the students seemed to be very enthusiastic about joining NJROTC.
“I wanted to be part of a team. I wanted to help and get out there,” said Samantha Laxton, incoming freshman, of her decision to join NJROTC.
