Gulf Breeze teen receives Citizen Safety Award

Thirteen-year-old Megan Sydow was the first recipient of the Midway Fire District’s Citizen Safety award. Sydow received the award in recognition of her persistence in wearing a helmet while riding her bike.

In addition to her Citizen Safety Award, the Midway Firefighter Union Local 4192 presented Megan with a new purple and white bike. Jordan Rockwell from West Florida Regional Planning Council also presented Sydow with a helmet.
