A Pensacola woman identified on an arrest report as being employed as a teacher at Hobbs Middle School was arrested April 18 and charged with a first-degree misdemeanor DUI and a related third-degree felony count of Cruelty Toward a Child.
According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, 35-year-old Laura Vaughn Sullivan was stopped by law enforcement at approximately 4 p.m., Friday, April 18 on Baybridge Drive in Gulf Breeze.
The report states Sullivan was unable to successfully complete field sobriety tests and provided breath samples with the results being above the state’s legal limit. Additionally, a passenger in the vehicle was found to be younger than 18 years of age.
Sullivan was taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail but was released after posting bond, which had been set at $10,000.
