Climate change

I have lived in Florida for more than 5 decades. The Pembroke Pines home I grew up in was built without air conditioning. (My dad did add 3 individual A/C units that we used sparingly. Neither of the bedrooms I used had its own unit.) I regularly went to summer camp in Avon Park, Florida; there was no air conditioning in the cabins, mess hall, arts and crafts building or the gymnasium.
