For the third year, a group of Air Commandos made a 450-mile trek between MacDill Air Force Base near Tampa and Hurlburt Field. The so-called “Ruck March” started March 30 and ended April 4 with a ceremony in the Hurlburt Field Memorial Air Park.
The purpose of the annual march is to raise funds for the Air Commandos Association and to remind Floridians that the war continues and military personnel and families need their support.
Colonel Bill West, Commander of the 1st Special Operations Wing, welcomed the marchers to Hurlburt Field and thanked them for their efforts.
