The Navarre Beach Mardi Gras parade is one of the most anticipated events of the year. As many as 25,000 people are expected to attend Feb. 22 and that means tens-of-thousands of cars crossing the Navarre Beach Causeway Bridge. Gary Hartman from Pirates Paradise in Navarre is hoping to make the trip a little easier for some by skipping the bridge and crossing the Santa Rosa Sound by boat.
“We see this as a win-win,” Hartman said Saturday at the Krewe of Jesters Mardi Gras Ball. “We’ll hopefully make the trip (to the island and back) a little more enjoyable, while we have any opportunity to promote our business too.” Read more in the February 20 issue of Navarre Press or subscribe online.
