The Northwest Florida Water Management District (NWFWMD) announced Feb. 13 more than $1.2 million in grant funds will flow to Santa Rosa County communities to support water supply development projects, and nearly $350,000 is heading to the City of Gulf Breeze to help fund construction of an elevated water storage tank.
According to a news release from NWFWMD, “This project will also help address one of the District’s priorities under the area’s Regional Water Supply Plan. Provide treated waste water for irrigation uses.”
Assistant Director of Public Works Thomas Lambert said the funds will be used to construct a 300,000 gallon water storage tank for reclaimed water.
