WNIS fifth graders win prizes at gingerbread house contest

Emma-Carpenter-overall-winnerThese aren’t your ordinary gingerbread houses. Fifth grade students at West Navarre Intermediate School presented their unique creations last Thursday night for the second annual Gingerbread House Contest hosted by thee Northwest Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). About 70 students participated, and grand prize winner Emma Carpenter took home a trophy and a mini iPad for her winning house.
